My journey has led me to live and work in Calgary, Canada.
I am on a musical path contributing unique and original music to enhance compelling stories.
My first memory of wanting to compose music was when I listened to the album 'Organisation' by OMD. I was 13 years old, sitting at my parent's dining room table wearing headphones, my head in my hands and my eyes closed in concentration. I must have listened to that album 100 times. All I knew was that I wanted to write music like that. Since that moment, writing music has been my calling.
Throughout my teenage years, I wrote numerous songs. In the 80’s I formed an electronic duo band called ‘Pseudo Art’ and became completely absorbed in the British electronic music scene.
Our band's passion for electronic music led us to Los Angeles to follow our dreams. At the young age of 21, through hard work and serendipity, we had the pleasure of meeting and working with the now renowned film recording and mixing engineer Frank Wolf (Cher, Randy Newman) and the legendary record producer Peter Asher (Linda Ronstadt, Cher, 10,000 maniacs). This was an unforgettable experience that introduced me to the Hollywood music scene.
Once back in the UK, I completed a Sound Engineering course and later took private music lessons, learning about composition, harmony and orchestration. I was lucky to work briefly with a film composer based in London, who at the time was scoring a film called 'Mister Frost' and an American TV series titled ‘She-Wolf of London.' Witnessing how music was scored to a film, and thoroughly enjoying the whole process, I decided to focus my attention on learning to write film music.
Since then, I have continued to learn and craft my own style in composition. I have been fortunate to write numerous songs, and score films and TV documentaries.
